This problem has been resolved. When I dropped my controller it let me save multiple controls on the same button. I had to hook up 2 controllers in order to get back to the button config through the game menu through some trial and error to reset the buttons to the default.
I already know that I am going to buy this game, from the combo strings to movement on the stage. I truly thank you for making a Beat 'em with the culmination of all technology and the experience. I look forward to many couch laugh with friends and family again. Awesome game, cant get enough.

I booted the game up and went to button config. I dropped my controller due to external forces and it saved the buttons. I cant play the game at all. No buttons work, I tried PS4 & PS5 controller, Xbox X, 360 and S controllers as well as Mouse K/b. i have hooked them all up and no difference. I have uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail.
